Paolo Sorgentone - Graduated in 1982 at the International School of Violin Making, in Cremona under the guidance of Francesco Bissolotti. He has made around 250 instruments, played in orchestras all over the world! HE dedicates himself also, to the restoration of antique instruments, to the study of the history of the violin making, especially Tuscan makers, and not least, to the training of students.

Michele Mecatti - Michele Mecatti graduated in 1986 at the International School of Violin Makers in Cremona studying with Maestro Vincenzo Bissolotti. In 1988 he moved to France to specialise in restoration, and worked in Rue de Rome, Paris until 1990 with the teachers Pierre Barthel and Bernard Sabatier. In 1990 in Paris he appreniced in the maintenance and the restoration of bows in the workshop of Jean and Pierre Grunberger.

Since 1998, the workshop is a reference point for string players. The workshops main activity is the construction of new instruments, entirely handcrafted, using traditional methods and top quality seasoned materials, resulting in the creation of genuine masterpieces recognizable for personality, style and acoustic qualities. 

The workshop promotes the construction of instruments based on models of the 18th Century Tuscan Luthiers.

Restoration and repairs on antique instruments are carried out having expertise and conservation as rules.
