Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT)

The Q Series improves upon previous models by incorporating Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT). MAT is a highly complex maze-like structure that absorbs 99% of the unwanted noise from the driver’s rear, eliminating the resulting distortion and providing a purer, more natural sound.

Uni-Q Driver

The Q11 Meta floorstanding speakers use a 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array with MAT. Uni-Q acts as a single-point source to disperse sound evenly throughout the room. This allows everybody to enjoy the same natural, detailed sound for an immersive entertainment experience.

3-way Speaker

The new Q Series Q11 Meta upgrades from a 2.5-way to a 3-way system design. This ensures precise separation of high, mid, and low frequencies. The updated configuration brings all your music and movies to life by significantly improving detail and clarity.

Deep and Clean Bass

A hybrid bass driver design provides stiffness, achieving a piston-like movement for better bass punch and speed. The port design using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) results in precise and agile bass management even at high output levels.

KEF designed a refined crossover for the Q11 Meta floorstanding speakers, ensuring seamless integration of the speaker drivers. Over 1,000 specific measurements allow for a precise signal path and optimise the best possible performance.

Shadow Flare

Using technology from the flagship models, the KEF Q11 Meta incorporates Shadow Flare, extending the waveguide effect of the Uni-Q. Treble frequencies escape naturally without unwanted cabinet diffraction for vastly improved fine detail.
