Martin's X-Brace system dates back almost 200 years, designed to present the perfect balance between reliability and optimised tonal quality, in a guitar that will last a lifetime. The X-Brace design supports the guitar's soundboard without negatively impacting the guitar's natural resonance and character.
With this D-12 model, Martin has opted for a Richlite material when it comes to the fingerboard and bridge. This material is dark and presents similar qualities to ebony, and is praised by luthiers around the world for being a great alternative choice. Not only does it sound and look great, but it's also very environmentally friendly.
